One in nine Australian women are affected by breast cancer in their lifetime. However, breast screening program participation rate in the City of Whittlesea is just 52 per cent and in the City of Hume is 55 per cent. A breast screen can identify cancers that are too small to be felt by your GP. Local clinics are in Broadmeadows and Epping and a mobile screening service visiting Sunbury.
