Posted by Sharyn Rognrust, Category: Consumer Engagement, Evaluation, Planning & Evaluation, Policy & Practice, Research,

The authors of this Australian research describe how quality practice of consumer engagement is in many ways still in its infancy. They discuss a partnership between the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute, Health Consumers Alliance and consumers in evidence generation, with details regarding both process and outcomes of the collaboration. They present an evidence-based, best-practice (consumer partnership) practical framework for consumer and community engagement which centres on four key organisational dimensions, including governance, infrastructure, capacity and advocacy.
