Celebrating 2019 – a message from Max Lee, HWPCP CEO

Posted by Sharyn Rognrust, Category: Uncategorised,

With Christmas fast approaching and 2020 just over the horizon - I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the HWPCP Executive Group and our staff, to wish everyone a happy and safe Xmas and New Year. As a HWPCP member, your combined commitment to the work of the PCP has been invaluable and yet again underscores the great outcomes that come with committed partnerships. Partnerships and collaboration do take time and commitment, yet they are the best means to meaningfully address effective system change that benefits all.

You will also be aware of that DHHS is commissioning a review of the Primary Care Partnership Program. This review work is being completed by KPMG and part of this work has been their release of two surveys for all PCPs member organizations and staff to complete.  To date these surveys have generated over 1,000 responses for KPMG to analyze. It is sincerely wonderful to see such a strong and consistent response from PCP members and we look forward to hearing about the outcomes of the review in early 2020. Stay tuned!

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to read our 2019 Year in Review summary and reflect on our shared work across the system integration, partnership, prevention, aged care and community service support spaces. At the heart of this work is the community we all seek to support, yourself, your service and the HWPCP staff – a big thank you to everyone !

In closing I wish you, your family and friends a peaceful and reflective time together and I look forward to working with you in 2020.
