As part of the N&WMR Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Project, the North and Western Metro Region PCPs will be delivering family violence training in partnership with Women’s Health in the North and Women’s Health West early in 2016. The training is targeted at managers, team leaders and HR staff, and will focus on identifying and responding to family violence, supporting clients who are experiencing family violence, and implementing the client and workplace family violence policies that have been developed as part of the project. A tailored and targeted training session will also be delivered for HR staff, which will focus on responding to and supporting staff who are experiencing family violence.
To register your interest in the training, please email the INW PCP FV Project Coordinator, Anita Trezona at firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 9 January 2017, specifying the number of staff you would like to send to the training, and whether their preference is to participate in the general family violence training session for managers, or the tailored workplace family violence session for HR staff.
Once we know what the demand is for the training and how many sessions we are able to deliver, we will send out application forms and advise on the number of places available for your agency.
Please note that the training will be subsidised by the PCPs and provided to our member agencies at minimal or no cost, depending on demand and the availability of trainers.
